Public service announcement: My family and I took an extended weekend to enjoy camping and tubing at Leisure resort.... at least that's what we thought we were going to doing. Our first night there one of our vehicles was broken into. The thief had hit several different campsites during the night. The second day at the resort, we went into the front office to inquire about the shuttle service that drops the guest off at the tubing site. We were told even if we pay the shuttle fee they would not take us because we had our own tubes!! As I'm staring at the office window at a empty van and trailer that they used to shuttle their guest, I'm wondering to myself why I even took the time to travel from Austin and pay to camp here. The shuttles drop off site was described by multiple guests as "filthy". It had broken beer bottles, garbage piles, dirty diapers all over the entry point to the river. Do Not waste your time and money.
I have been camping here for 12 years. Beautiful restful peaceful place. Just what the doctor ordered.
Clean friendly park with river access. Nice campground for tents available. Cabins also very nice. Well stocked store.
The current manager lack professional skills to run any type of business. Often times she is selective with who is required to abide by the park rules. This I know first hand. The park employees are lazy and most of the time very rude. Following in the the park manager footsteps I am sure. Not a very pleasant place to take the family as according to the park manager the park is Christian influenced even have church service Sunday mornings but everyone in the park usually runs around drunk including employees. This I know first hand as well. I would not recommend this place in any capacity.
Very nice park, kid and pet friendly with miniature golf, swimming pool, play ground, basketball court, volley ball court, and much more including tubeing and fishing on the Guadalupe River!
The sites are a little close to each other but I didn't have a problem with that. Everyone was super friendly!
